Twitter

I do not have a strong opinion about Twitter mainly because I have an account already for two years which I recently stopped using it significantly just because its a waste of time. It is a very simple way and method to tell the world what you are doing in that exact moment, but is it that important to tell the world what you are doing? Do people even care what you are doing? Twitter becomes repetitive very easily and it loses its touch quickly. Interacting with people is very weak because you are limited to only 140 characters. To me, I dislike it for the purpose of just updating it and telling the world what you are doing.

The only useful thing about Twitter is that, people who are preparing to organize and event, could let other knows what is the current situation and what is going to happen later. Only people who are using Twitter to inform others about an event, or the release of an important item, use it for its full purpose. If people like the post or re tweet it, it will be spread to other and will inform many about what the main person does.

Blogging gives you permission to release as much information about a topic as you want, you can write as many paragraphs you want reaching up to a thousand words. Twitter only gives you permission to speak your mind only in 140 characters, which quite insufficient for one to explain what they have in mind. Although the difference between a blog is that, whenever you blog you are supposed to write strong and long sentences to prove your arguments, wheres twitter is just a social website where you let people know of what you are doing or about to do. It is not a website which provides a lot of information, you could potentially link on twitter a blog to which contains a large amount of information. It is hard to compare blogging and twitter together mainly because both serve different tasks.

Twitter has a large population, on which you can have your friends, family even celebrities on your follow list. So you are able to see what they are doing on that specific day, but some people could potentially lie. A good example is, recently a girl tweeted that she will hop on a plane the next day, and blow it up with a bomb. This obviously was a fake tweet, although the girl claimed she was a terrorist, she tweeted again that was a lie. Of course that is not a very smart thing to tweet, it actually got out of hand, and the airline that she claimed she will hijack, reported her to the FBI, the next day she was under arrest. Here is a link to an actual news information about her http://www.usatoday.com/story/todayinthesky/2014/04/14/girl-sends-terroristic-tweet-to-aa-gets-unwanted-response/7694161/
